Great meeting with Michelle Renee Hiatt

We certainly were very happy with Michelle's trunk show and lecture at our November meeting. What a personable, entertaining and talented woman. Her quilts were fabulous, great colors and fabric and wonderful fresh patterns. A very enjoyable and exciting evening.

Hearthside Quilters Parkinson's Workshop

We had a lot of fun creating quilt tops for Parkison's Quilt Project on Saturday, Nov 14, 2015. Missing from these pictures is Roberta Stoddard who had two great tops sewed and working on her 3rd. She left early before pictures were taken. Holly Florio came to set up coffe/tea and helped again later with clean up etc. It really was a nice day!

How nice to have a mother, Enis Silva, and her daughter Doris, at the same workshop.

Isn't this a pretty top made by daughter Doris!

Roberta Peron's red white and blue is always a hit

Linda Ronalter used a panel she had and enhanced it to a bigger size. She really is behind there!

November 14 & 19 meetings

Coming up on our schedule is the first Parkinson's Quilt workshop. We will meet on Sat. November 14 from 9-2. Will you be coming? Donations of fabric and time to sew together is welcome. We also have many pillow cases cut out and ready to sew if that is what you prefer to work on. We hope to have a good turnout this weekend and you can come for an hour or all day. Whatever you can give is appreciated.

Rescheduled from the October meeting we will welcome Michelle Renee Hiatt to bring us a fabulous trunk show and lecture.  Our members suggestions and inspiration ideas for our sewing room will be rescheduled TBA. Remember to bring show and tell items as everyone likes to see what people are working on. December will be our holiday party and we'll talk about making a grab bag exchange gift . Because we have a paid speaker in November we will charge a $5 guest fee or better yet, join us for $15. See you next Thursday!
